10 Things to send to your newsletter list when you don’t know what to share
You'll often hear branding and marketing professionals (me included) tell you that building your newsletter list is of utmost importance when it comes to growing your small business. That's because we don't own our followers on social media platforms such as Instagram or Facebook and if those platforms were to shutdown tomorrow - how would you stay in contact with your audience?
For so many of us, Facebook and Instagram have formed a valuable part of our online business revenue stream and for some, it's the primary way they make sales. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but we do need to be focusing some energy on staying in contact with our audience in a way that means we can sell to them directly, and not through another channel such as social media.
I know many of you would be thinking this is all well and good to say but, "what the heck do I send to my newsletter list?"
To help you combat this, I have put together a short, snappy list of 10 Things you can send to your newsletter list on those days when you have no idea what to post! This list is created with ideas that are both engaging and can double as a way for you to show off your expertise and upsell your products or services.
I'll add to this list and share more with you in the coming months, but for now, I hope this list gets you out of a pickle and back into engaging with your audience in an authentic way! (Save this image, pin it to your Pinterest board or download to refer to it later).
A few parting tips you should consider!
Your newsletter list are your VIPs so you want to treat them like friends who are getting a deeper insight into you, your zone of genius and how to work with you.
Sharing content that is valuable but still tailored to what they may need to know about your niche is a great way to keep them engaged and show that you're a real leader in your field.
Think about ways you can educate your audience in a fun and interesting way. Ask yourself, "would this email be something I'd be interested in? And does it solve a problem for me?"
